Jessica Cao, MD completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then graduated with honors and with the “Highest Distinction” accolade from the USC Keck School of Medicine. She received her ophthalmology residency training and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship training at the highly renowned Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, where she trained with many leaders at the forefront of cutting-edge vitreoretinal surgery techniques. Dr. Cao has co- authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed publications. She has presented her work at national conferences in ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery. She has also served on numerous advisory boards.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She has been selected by her peers as one of Southern California’s Rising Stars for several consecutive years and has been named to the Super Doctors ® list as well as Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors” list.
