Jessica Cao, MD completed her vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the highly renowned Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, where she trained with many leaders at the forefront of cutting-edge vitreoretinal surgery techniques.
Dr. Cao also pursued her ophthalmology residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute after earning her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). During medical school, she was inducted into the selective Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received multiple Dean’s Recognition Awards as well as the “Highest Distinction” accolade, the highest honor bestowed at graduation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she graduated summa cum laude.
Dr. Cao has co-authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed publications. She has presented her work at national conferences in ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery. She has also served on numerous advisory boards. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
